Why a locksmith counter beats a kiosk
Self-service kiosks and hardware stores copy the common house keys well enough. They cannot cut laser-cut car blades, program most transponder chips or smart fobs, duplicate restricted or high-security keys, or tell you why a copy of a worn key will not turn. A locksmith cuts from the original code when the key is worn, so the copy is better than the key you brought in.
Bring the original key. If you bring a copy of a copy, we can still work from the lock's code in many cases, but the original is the fast path.
Car keys and fobs at the counter
Spare car keys are cheapest to make while you still have a working one. Bring the car and a working key to the shop, and we cut and program a spare on the spot for most makes. If the car cannot come to us, our mobile technicians come to the car. Fobs, remote-head keys and transponder keys are all handled at the counter for the makes we stock.

Can you copy a key that says do not duplicate?
Do not duplicate is a request, not a law, for ordinary keys, and we will copy them for the owner. Restricted keys such as Medeco or Mul-T-Lock require proof that you are the authorized keyholder, and we follow that system's rules.

Yes for most makes. Bring the car and a working fob so we can program the new one to the vehicle on the spot. If you cannot bring the car, our mobile technician comes to it.
